For Matthew, technology has always been close to home.

With his father, uncle, and brother all working in IT, it was never far from his world. After spending time in the banking industry and realizing it wasn’t the right fit, he decided to explore a new path. He began by earning his A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications and quickly discovered a passion that changed the direction of his career.

That early momentum grew into deeper specialization. Matthew went on to earn a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, along with several advanced certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Forensics Analyst, and Certified HIPAA Privacy and Security Expert. His experience blends technical security expertise with a strategic mindset focused on preparedness and long-term resilience.

At Stepping Forward, Matthew especially enjoys the leadership and mentorship side of his role. While security remains a core passion, he finds purpose in helping teammates grow, sharing knowledge, and providing direction that strengthens both the team and the clients they serve. His goal is to help organizations build strong security plans and trusted partnerships so when challenges arise, they’re ready to respond with confidence.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys video games, spending time with his close circle of friends and family, and embracing the outdoors through hiking, camping, and the occasional snowboarding trip.
